International Private Limited.,(DBI)
- is a subsidary of Driltools International FZCO and
Driltools
Equipment Trading L.L.C. - both established in Dubai, UAE. All three
companies are now members of the Wah Seong Corporation Berhad, one of the
major listed Companies in Malaysia.
DBI acquired the
Rock Bit manufacturing facility in Nashik, Western India,
from Greaves Cotton Ltd., part of a long-established, diversified and
successful enterprise that is backed by over 140 years of corporate
experience in many engineering and manufacturing fields. The
Nashik Plant was first established in 1975 and equipped and operated
under a Technology Transfer Agreement with Smith Tools Inc. USA.
Smiths Tools Inc. remained as the Technical Partner up until 1990, at which
time Greaves, with their strong corporate business and engineering heritage,
took over and continued in Nashik to develop and build on the pillars of the
advanced technology acquired from Smiths Tool Inc.
After the acquisition of the Greaves Nashik Plant in July 2005, DBI carries
forward into the future this aim for excellence and the commitment of being
at the leading edge of international drilling technology.
DBI has a wealth of international experience in the global Oil &
Gas. Water and Minerals Extraction Industries and now brings,
with justifiable confidence, a wide range of technically-advanced and
superbly-engineered Rotary Rock Bits to the most discerning customers and to
the most arduous drilling operations. Manufacturing and assembly of the Bits
at the Nashik Plant is carried out under API and ISO accreditation, with
stringent Quality Controls at all stages of engineering, production, testing
and finishing. The materials used are the best available. These DBI Bits
have a long and proven track record, displaying superior performance and durability
under all conditions, throughout the World. Since
July 2005, we have been manufacturing under the two brand
names: "GREAVES"
and "DBI" |
